My husband has Alzheimer's and was starting to have a lot of trouble with zippers and buttons. I was looking online for coats that had snaps instead of zippers, and Magna Ready popped up. I remembered hearing about "adaptive clothing" on a podcast and thought "ah ha! This must be the kind of thing they were talking about!"
I started with a winter puffer coat, and he LOVED it! So, when it started getting warmer, I ordered 2 flannel shirts and a spring jacket, and he loves all of those also. He loves hearing them snap up all by themselves. All he has to do is get the first one lined up, and the rest just jump together by themselves, and he's so tickled by that. And I'm so happy to see him feeling successful and like he can take care of himself, instead of the frustration and embarrassment that he was feeling before.
Yes, they cost more than a regular shirt, but for what they do for him, they are absolutely worth it!
Thank you Magna Ready!
